When you give back in life, you probably apply the most powerful Law of Attraction principle. And many of us completely overlook the fact that this seemingly altruistic gesture is also extremely meaningful for ourselves as well when achieving our goals in life.
I’m sure you’ve heard about the Law of Attraction. Basically, it explains how to get whatever you want out of the universe. Hence, you can get love, wealth, good people, and a lot more into your life. I am often asked to give my opinion about the theory of the Law of Attraction and if it’s true.
If you are a real flower, bees will be attracted to you automatically because you’re willing to give them what they need.
I’m asked if it is really possible to manifest, to attract, to get what we want. Moreover, if this is the case, what are they doing wrong, and why do their dreams remain unfulfilled? They assure me that they have not done any bad karma (really!?), that they have followed all visualization techniques as per the Law of Attraction guidelines and still they are exactly where they do not want to be.
Nature’s Laws and the Secret Power of Giving
There’s a secret I’d like to share with you: you always get what you give. Money goes where it’s given; love goes where it’s given; appreciation goes where it’s given, and so on. If you start giving something, not only do you get that back, but much more. Nature always gives back in many ways. You must be prepared to part with what you desire in order to attract it. This is the unfailing Law of Nature.
Law of Nature & Law of Attraction
Those of you who have ever been to the mountains may be familiar with the echo phenomenon. Whenever you say something out loud, it is repeated several times to you.
You get a louder response the louder you shout. Essentially, this is the law. If you shout me, me, me, the universe shouts back at you me-me-me-me-me… If you go, I want money, it echoes back I-want-money, I-want-money, I-want-money… If you shout give me love, it goes give-me-love, give-me-love, and so forth. The magnitude of nature is much greater than yours. By shouting, you cannot win. You want more and nature wants more.
As soon as you start giving, it starts giving back to you. As soon as you say, I want to give, it says back I-want-to-give several times, when you shout I am grateful, it shouts back I-am-grateful… If you say, I don’t want anything, it also says back I-don’t-want-anything… You sow one kilogram of rice, you get four kilograms back. It is true that you can only reap what you have sown, and this can only be done after you have sown it.
I have been gone from the ashram for the past few days. My gums have been sensitive, so I went to the dentist. While in the Himalayas, I often ate snow, which likely exacerbated the situation. This was my first time seeing this dentist. He owned a state-of-the-art periodontist clinic.
A passionate and knowledgeable professional, he spoke kindly, informed me well about the process, and showed me care and compassion. He completed the treatment in two sessions. When I tried to pay for it at the end, he wouldn’t accept the payment. His feedback was that the vibe he received from me was his payment, that he saw this as a chance to do some good, to serve. I practically begged him to pay. Mostly because I have never accepted money or material gifts for my own needs.
It’s hard for me to hold on to what can be given. Material gifts burden me the most. He refused to give up. After much back and forth, he accepted a partial payment.
It is clear that his karma has been recorded in the universe. There is no doubt that he will receive a thousand percent of it back.
I can tell for a fact that this dentist is going to make huge amounts of money in the future, not just because he gave, but because of the sentiments and nobility he expressed. That is how nature works. The giver gave without expecting anything in return, and Nature fulfilled his promise without condition. Since he was willing to give what he worked for, he was willing to share, Nature will also give him what he worked for.
Trying the Law of Attraction when all you want is just for yourself is amateurish, a little too optimistic to expect you’ll get anything just because you ask for it.
Even if you can’t spare even a dollar, you can spare some kindness, compassion, and appreciation. If you cannot fill someone’s pockets with money, maybe you can fill their hearts with love. Money is not needed by nature. Its foundation is love and compassion, not money. Do your part, and it will do its part. When you give you gain the right to receive.
How important is it to you to get what you want or to receive what you need, to take care of what you have or to be concerned about what you lack? You are light when you give. You start to attract good things when you give.
When Nature chooses you to be a medium for giving, you are indeed lucky. The first step towards what you want is to start giving. You also need to learn patience. Natural processes do not happen overnight.
If you want to attract iron, you need to become a magnet. If you want to attract bees, you must become a flower. There can be no artificiality. Become the magnet from within, and you will attract naturally.
Editorial Note
Made immensely popular by several publications in the early 2000s, The Law of Attraction talks about how our thoughts can change our lives and transform our destiny.
The most popular law of attraction concept is the power of visualization. In other words, imagine intensely what you desire and manifest it. In combination with the principle of giving that you’ve read above, attaining what you want is very much a reality! Because, after all, it’s all within us.
