Sounds unlikely? I get it. But this simple practice shifted my mindset and opened doors I didn’t even know existed.

Here’s the truth: showing gratitude isn’t about forcing yourself to be happy all the time. It’s about how you see what’s already in your life. When I finally got this right, it felt like hitting reset on how I attract the things I care about.

Want to see how gratitude can become your edge? Let’s get into it. Because when it comes to turning big dreams into reality, this might be the missing piece you’ve been looking for.

Why Gratitude Is Helpful In Manifesting Dreams

Let me remind you a little about the Law of Attraction:

Setting yourself a big goal, asking for your dream, is the basis for manifestation. Then you need to address all abundance blocks, those roadblocks that are keeping you from achieving your goals.

In the third step, you reprogram your subconscious mind so that it can provide you with all the resources, opportunities, ideas, etc. that you need. There is one thing you must do in the end: take action!

In this process, gratitude is crucial because it signals the subconscious that you already have ALL of these good things in your life.

Are you familiar with the expression “act as if” in relation to the Law of Attraction? In other words, you do not have to run up your credit card balance and live a luxurious lifestyle that you desire to manifest.

Basically, you’re telling the subconscious mind, also known as the universe, that you’re already aligned on this vibrational level already.

And being grateful is the perfect way to do this.

You can learn more about gratitude and manifesting in this post.

The power of gratitude extends beyond reprogramming your subconscious mind.

According to researchers, gratitude closes a brain gate that prevents negative emotions and thoughts from entering. This means negative emotions can never coexist with gratitude.

If you understand how important it is for the Law of Attraction to function, that you live a positive life, you should be able to see why gratitude can have such a profound impact on your mindset and speed up your manifestation.

We’ll take a look at how to use this powerful Law of Attraction tool every day, and bring more appreciation into your life.

1. Say thank you to others every day.

Don’t be afraid to express your gratitude and thank people for everything they do to make your life better.

It could be the friendly barista who served you extra attentively in the coffee shop (don’t forget to tip them.) Or the neighbor who feeds your cat during the weekend when you are away.

Giving back to the people who are important to us is one of the most beautiful things in life, and it is natural to express our gratitude regularly to them.

2. Leave a positive review.

After training with a Personal Trainer for half a year, I had to say goodbye to him for a “summer break” when he asked me to leave a Google review.

Funny thing is, I don’t often remember to leave a review for others, despite being a business owner myself. That is why I am thankful he reminded me.

You can show your gratitude by providing a positive review for a product or service you like.

This is a nice way to help small business owners as well.

3. Play with your pet

If you own a cat, you know there is not much more beautiful than when your cat expresses her gratitude for some cuddles by gently purring.

Pets show us their gratitude every day if we take good care of them. In return for affection, feeding, and keeping their toilet clean.

It is also important to thank our furry friends for being with us and making our lives more enjoyable. Therefore, pay your pet more attention to express your gratitude.

4. Give back to the community

Being grateful and being generous go hand in hand. My formula for doing this is this: Gratitude + Generosity = Abundance

The Law of Attraction understands from generosity that you have enough to share, so much so that you can even give some of it away. Even more, being grateful for these things supports the whole thing.

So you get a double benefit! In return, anyone you give to will surely be grateful. Not only do I give 10% of my income to charity, but I also help wherever and whenever I can. For me, giving is the most satisfying feeling in the world.

5. Thank Someone Who Changed Your Life

Describe a time in your life when a person had a significant impact on you. Maybe they gave you some valuable advice or just inspired you.

It could have been a teacher, a mentor, a parent, a brother, a good friend, a book author… No matter what, thank you! In the meantime, if the person has died or you can’t contact them, write a thank-you letter to them anyway. Keep the letter in your gratitude journal so you can read it regularly.

6. Create a gratitude jar

I came across the idea of a gratitude jar several years ago and thought it was such a wonderful idea. You fill the gratitude jar day by day by writing something that you are thankful for on colorful paper and placing it in a big jar.

You open each of these notes at the end of the year and read it out loud. That’s how you do 365 days of gratitude. Can it get any better than that?

Opening my notes on new year’s eve with my favorite champagne is always a pleasant experience. What about you?

7. Tell Your Partner Everyday What You Are Grateful for

As a part of our everyday life, we have incorporated many small things that help us to manifest our dreams. We practice the Law of Attraction 24/7 in our home. It has been very successful. A grateful attitude is undoubtedly a key part of this Law of Attraction routine.

Gratitude is a powerful tool for manifesting. In the morning, my partner and I sit down and have a coffee together while we talk about how grateful we are for everything that we have.

Practicing gratitude every day with your partner (or a close friend or family member) is a great way to strengthen your relationship as well as practice gratitude every day.

8. Keep A Gratitude Journal Or List.

This post illustrates how important gratitude is in every aspect of life. Try to incorporate it into your daily routine! It’s also a great way to express gratitude every day if you keep a gratitude journal.

This is an excellent Law of Attraction activity.

It doesn’t matter whether you write down everything you are grateful for on a piece of paper, or if you write it in your journal, it helps you to reflect on how much you already have.

9. Make your own gratitude wall

Gratitude boards are an excellent alternative to vision boards.

Simply pick a free spot on a wall or pinboard, and whenever you feel grateful for something you have or something that just happened to you, write it on a note and post it there. As important as reading these notes is, you should also regularly reflect on the amazing life you are already living.

10. Give Thanks To The Most Important Person In Your Life: You.

When it comes to your personal growth, self-love is critical. It’s fundamental to attracting more good things into your life.

And I’m certain you’ve got plenty of reasons to appreciate yourself!

Give thanks to your body for providing you with so many functions. Be thankful for what you enjoy most about your appearance. You should thank your mind for its tremendous power that allows you to accomplish anything you set out to do.

This is a great exercise to practice gratitude:

Every evening, face your mirror and tell yourself what you are grateful for today; tell yourself all the things you have accomplished, all the positive thoughts you have had; appreciate the times when you have been strong, courageous, funny, friendly, kind…

Be kind to yourself! Your utmost priority is you.

Pro-Tip: Be grateful for the little things in life.

In a world where everything needs to be faster, bigger, and better, we often forget the little things.

I believe that the little things in life are the most important when it comes to expressing your gratitude, since these little moments in life add up and can determine how your overall vibration is aligned. Our lives are full of little things to be grateful for.

There is nothing like a beautiful sunrise, the sun shining on your face in the morning, a cup of fresh brewed coffee, meeting a good old friend, having a good meeting, a nice chat at lunch break, or slipping into a soft blanket after a hard day at work.

The list could go on and on. The list of experiences, thoughts, and feelings we experience every day is endless. If we expressed gratitude for even a small part of them, our lives would change dramatically.

There are several health benefits to gratitude.

Earlier in this post I mentioned how gratitude affects your brain and affects your thinking. Being grateful has numerous other health benefits, as well.

In a study on gratitude’s health benefits, two psychologists, Dr. Michael E. McCullough of the University of Miami and Dr. Robert A. Emmons of the University of California, surveyed two groups about it.

This is yet another reason you should start implementing more gratitude exercises in your life.

One group of people in this study had to write down something they were grateful for every day. The group that expressed gratitude felt better, was more optimistic, and lived healthier and exercised more often.

The following are some of the health benefits of gratitude that have been documented so far:

» Pain levels decreased. » It relieves stress. » It can help you sleep better. » It relieves depression and anxiety. » It boosts your energy levels. » It improves well-being and your outlook on life.

My Personal Take

My Personal Take

I used to think gratitude was one of those fluffy ideas—like drinking green juice to “detox.” Then, during a rough patch, I started keeping a daily gratitude journal. Nothing fancy—just a sticky note on my fridge.

One day, I wrote, “Grateful my coffee machine worked this morning.” That same week, I met someone who sparked a major career breakthrough over… coffee. Coincidence? Maybe. But I’ve come to see gratitude like tuning into a radio station.

You start vibing on what’s good, and suddenly you’re catching all the right songs. It’s not magic; it’s perspective. And perspective? That’s the fuel of manifesting.

When you show up grateful for what you have, life starts giving you more to be grateful for. Like planting seeds in a garden—you water what you want to grow. Gratitude is how you water your dreams.
